New Story Coming

I have good news: my next self-published story is on its way soon!

Now, it’s a little early for me to start throwing out publication dates and the like. What I can say is that I spent most of the day yesterday going over the text and powering through my final changes. The story has gone through some significant edits since the first draft, and I’m happy with the way it’s evolved. I ended up needing more time than I thought to get this story ready, but the extra time and work I’ve put into it were well spent. I’ll be sending it to my editor/publishing wizard, the wonderful Angela, and awaiting her comments.

I will be sure to tell everyone when it’s coming out, as soon as I have more info. I’m not rushing to do this as fast as possible, but at this point I’m in the final stages. I’ll do my best to update everyone on Facebook, but remember to check back here for news on the story and all things related. I will have a cover to show everyone, along with some details about the story, and other related bits to be found here on the blog.

I can’t wait to see what people think of this next one. It’s a different sort of beast than Specimen 25, and it introduces an important character. The most obvious difference for this one is the absence of any kind of sex, as the focus shifts from the interactions of hormonal teens to a more pensive exploration of encountering the unknown and struggling to make decisions thereafter.

I know I’ve said this before, but I want to repeat it again: this new story is related to the events of Specimen 25, but don’t expect to see all the characters making a return…yet. I have plans for them, and I’m working on the direct sequel to the first story. This new story expands the universe and hints at some of the larger events that are driving the narrative.

Once I have more to tell you, I’ll be back here to spread the word.

    • Thanks. I’m really happy to start the year off with a new story.
